orange-coconut milkshake

Orange-Coconut Milkshake anyone?

“Happiness is…burgers & milkshakes”

This shake reminds me of a creamsicle shake of course with all of the orange juice and ice cream 😀 But this one is so so much better!! The coconut cream and the vanilla bean paste along with the rest of the ingredients just do something awesome together which results in one of the creamiest, dreamiest milkshakes 😉 Now I want one for breakfast and I could totally do that by swapping out the ice cream for frozen bananas.

I am so ready for spring but I hear that we are getting more snow…

Happy Tuesday!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream or 4 frozen bananas
  • 1/4 cup cream of coconut
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tsp orange zest(opt)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk, if needed

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender stopping to scrape down sides and add milk/orange juice until desired consistency is reached.
  • Pour into 4 glasses and top with whipped cream and coconut. Serve immediately.

Notes

*If you are lactose intolerant or don't want to use dairy products then skip the milk and ice cream and use bananas and orange juice to get the consistency that you want. I also sometimes add frozen pineapple chunks and pineapple juice.
