Melt butter in large skillet- I used a cast iron skillet for this. Brown chicken for about 5 minutes on each side and set aside.
Add flour, artichoke hearts, whipping cream, lemon juice, and onion to drippings in skillet.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until sauce slightly thickens.
Add chicken back into sauce in skillet. Or transfer everything to a baking dish. Add whole garlic cloves to skillet/dish. I like to let them roast and add flavor during the cooking process. Chopping them up and adding to the sauce is also a option.
Cook in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Or until chicken is done. This should only take 25-30 mins for boneless chicken.
Remove from oven and serve immediately with hot buttered noodles or rice.
