Dark Chocolate Pudding


Dark Chocolate Pudding can be summed up as sinful decadence with a big dollop of unsweetened cream on top. Which somehow just makes it even tastier.

The fanciest of fancy pants puddings ever:-)


Perfect for those work/school lunches. And soo much better than those pudding packs from the grocery store.

Dark Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dutch process dark cocoa
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter , cut up
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Unsweetened whipped cream

Instructions

  • In medium saucepan mix together the first four ingredients.
  • Gradually stir in milk.
  • Cook on medium heat, whisking constantly for 5 to 8 minutes.
  • When pudding is thickening and starts to boil, reduce heat and cook 2 more minutes.
  • Remember to whisk constantly!
  • Stir in butter and vanilla.
  • Press wax paper directly to top of pudding and allow to cool.
  • Serve warm or chilled.
  • Top with unsweetened whipped cream.
