Ingredients

granulated sugar

dutch process dark cocoa
1/4

cornstarch
1/2
teaspoon
salt

milk
1/4

unsalted butter
, cut up
2
teaspoons
vanilla extract
Unsweetened whipped cream
Instructions
In medium saucepan mix together the first four ingredients.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook on medium heat, whisking constantly for 5 to 8 minutes.
When pudding is thickening and starts to boil, reduce heat and cook 2 more minutes.
Remember to whisk constantly!
Stir in butter and vanilla.
Press wax paper directly to top of pudding and allow to cool.
Serve warm or chilled.
Top with unsweetened whipped cream.
