Old-Fashioned Sweet Potato Casserole

Old-Fashioned Sweet Potato Casserole is a traditional holiday dish in our family. Traditional recipes are the best! They are what make holiday memories so special and the reason that you can’t wait for that Thanksgiving meal:)

This dish is full of sweet potatoes, butter, cinnamon, maple syrup, & vanilla bean paste… and topped with brown sugar, pecans & walnuts. I have been making all of my favorite recipes that my grams & mom made over the years. But, changing a few things to make them my own. I added the maple syrup & vanilla bean paste to this one. And my mom usually only uses pecans but, I used both pecans & walnuts here. I am trying to cut back on how much sugar that is used in this recipe which is why I used part maple syrup and we think that made it taste even better! (don’t tell mom) Vanilla bean paste is just yummy so, no further explanation is needed for that:)

The topping is Ah-mazing..:) Do me a favor and use real butter in this!!
