Old-Fashioned Sweet Potato Casserole
No ratings yet
Sweet Potato Casserole is one of my absolute favorite fall recipes. It is buttery, naturally sweet from the potatoes and maple syrup, and crunchy from the pecans and walnuts. The perfect side dish for Thanksgiving!

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Butter bottom and sides of a 9x9 baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, combine first 7 ingredients until they are completely combined and smooth.
Pour into a prepared baking dish.
Mix together all of the topping ingredients and layer over the potatoes. Press down lightly.
Cover with foil until the last 10 minutes to prevent the topping from browning too much.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Serve hot or at room temperature. My hubs loves it straight out of the fridge:)
